Walk up to Henninger Flats

Last week I hiked up to Henninger Flats and was able to get these fantastic views of Pasadena.



The hike begins in Eaton Canyon and progresses up the old Mt. Wilson Toll Road which is a fire road. It’s not a narrow trail and I recommend walking early in the morning because of the lack of shade later in the morning and afternoon. When you get to the top you are rewarded with nice scenery that includes a picnic area and public campground.

I hiked 7.4 miles and climbed up to 1600 feet. You can go further up to Mt. Wilson from here. Below are the details of my hike:
